Corcoran Gallery in Washington DC

As they say, "The Corcoran is dedicated to art," & it shows. With free daily tours of its immense art galleries, the Corcoran Gallery of Art focuses both on the preservation of fundamental historic & modern American artwork, as well as educating visitors from all walks of life. Emphasis is placed on American art, but the gallery also houses European & world works, with extra attention paid to artists working in the Washington DC area.

Wednesday-Sunday 10AM - 5PM; Closed Mondays, Tuesdays, Thanksgiving, Christmas, & New Year's Day

Prices -

Adults $10; Seniors (62+) / Students (with valid ID) $8; - Children under 12 years of age are free. Active Duty Military & immediate family are free as well.

The Corcoran Gallery of art houses 16,000 pieces of art, ranging from historic to contemporary paintings, photography, sculpture, & more.

Is the Corcoran Gallery Free or is there an entrance fee?


Entrance fees are as follows: Adults $10; Seniors (62+)/Students (with valid ID) $8;
Children under 12 years of age are free. Active duty Military & immediate family are free as well.

How close is the nearest metro station ?


The Farragut West stop on the Orange & Blue lines is 4 blocks away from Corcoran Gallery of Art. Just exit the station at 17th street, & head south.
