The White House, Washington DC

No building says America more than The White House, and no trip to DC is complete without a White House visit. The address is equally infamous, at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Stroll by or set up a self-guided tour with your local Member of Congress or Embassy in Washington DC.

Visitor Center 7:30AM - 4PM; Pre-scheduled tours run Tuesday through Thursday 7:30AM - 11AM, Fridays 7:30AM - 12PM, & Saturdays 7:30AM - 1PM.

Outside parking is not available near The White House. Instead, take the DC Metrorail to Federal Triangle, Metro Center, or McPherson Square.


Are cameras and video cameras allowed ?

No, neither are bags of any kind, food & beverages, strollers, pointed objects, or aerosol cans.

How do I purchase a ticket ?

Request a free tour through your Member of Congress up to 6 months in advance, but no less than 21 days before your visit. Foreign travelers must consult their embassy in Washington DC to schedule a tour. Call 202-456-2121 for more information.
