A free four-week trauma-sensitive yoga group
Gentle poses, combined with breathing and relaxation techniques, help participants learn to listen to their bodies and make healthy choices for body, mind and spirit. This is an effective evidenced-based, behavioral health treatment specially designed to reduce symptoms of trauma. \

WHY: Trauma-sensitive yoga is a voice lead, nontouch yoga giving participants choice during their practice. Choice to leave the mat or room, keep eyes open or closed, modify a posture to work with how the participant is feeling at a moment in time. It acknowledges yoga is available to all ages and body types and that trauma comes in many forms ranging from an acute event or lose, daily trauma or the effects systematic oppression. Classes are available in Spanish.\
