(DENVER — May 26, 2021) – On Saturday, October 2, 2021, the largest Children\'s Diabetes Foundation fundraiser, The Carousel Ball, welcomes REO Speedwagon as the featured performer. Signed in 1971, REO Speedwagon has been on what feels like a non-stop tour ever since. REO satisfies fans worldwide playing staples like \'Ridin\' the Storm Out\', \'Time for Me to Fly\', and \'Roll With the Changes\', plus hits from their award-winning 1980 album, Hi Infidelity, as well as new songs. Not a year has gone by where REO has not performed live – often teaming up with other number one artists and bands, including Pat Benatar, Fleetwood Mac, Styx, .38 Special, Chicago, and Def Leppard.\

Lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist, occasional pianist, and writer of some of the biggest hits in rock, Kevin Cornin, has been REO\'s front man since 1972. With bandmates, Bruce Hall on bass, keyboardist Neal Doughty, Dave Amato on lead guitar, and drummer, Bryan Hitt, REO Speedwagon has recorded 15 studio albums. Formed in 1967 in Champaign, Illinois, REO started the burgeoning rock movement in the Midwest. Over 50 years later, the band was voted top musicians in Illinois history by the \'Illinois Top 200\' project.\

REO Speedwagon\'s explosive Hi Infidelity album received the Recording Industry Association of America\'s ® (RIAA) 10X Diamond Award for surpassing sales of 10 million units in the U.S. REO rode the top of the charts with a RIAA-certified 22 million albums sold in the U.S., and 40 million around the globe. They received a string of both gold and platinum records, and international hit singles. Hi Infidelity spent 15-weeks in the number one slot, and has gone platinum ten-times.
