Wallet Making with Winter Session
Winter Session co-founders Roy Katz and Tanya Fleisher will teach you their ways when it comes to hand stitching a leather card wallet. Using pre-cut leather pieces, waxed thread and a set of hand-stitching needles, you will learn how to assemble your very own wallet using a timeless (and easy to learn) 'saddle stitching' technique. Participants will have the option of a vertical or a horizontal card case, in either tan or black leather (sourced from the famous Horween Leather Tannery in Chicago). Your wallet will be yours to keep (or give as a gift!). If you'd like to give this workshop as a gift for Father's Day, please select that ticket option on Eventbrite and we will send you an e-certificate to print! All materials and supplies will be provided, including bites from Smōk and a New Belgium Brewing beer. No prior experience necessary. Class to take place in Market Hall 2. --- Founded in 2010 by the husband and wife team of Roy Katz and Tanya Fleisher, Winter Session designs and manufactures a full range of functional, high quality, unisex canvas and leather carry goods. By combining functionality, durability, and visual appeal, their bags, wallets, cases, and wearables have a refined utilitarian aesthetic. They're accessories that work with you and for you, and look great while doing so.
