Excellent Service in a Beautiful Setting
I can't wait to go back. The staff and service at this hotel is was extraordinary! From the valet/bellman, to the front desk staff, to the restaurant staff they never failed to smile, speak a kind word, and offered to help. The location couldn't be more perfect, you can walk just about everywhere. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Finally, you have to visit the restaurant! The food is wonderful, and Carlos is the best bartender/all around nice guy. He remembers names and faces, and can make a great wine recommendation. I look forward to my next visit

Great little hotel
We stayed here so we could walk to the Kennedy Center. The location is great. The rooms are large and everyone is friendly. There is a small restaurant that provides breakfast and a very good dinner menu. The rooms are VERY reasonable for DC

2nd Visit. Even better.
We stayed here for a week, as we did last year. The River Inn is still wonderful-friendly helpful staff, great location (3 Metro lines and several bus routes), good restaurant, pet friendly with no additional charge. One change from our 2018 visit is that the rooms have been refurbished. New floors, furniture, beds (I think), and kitchen cooktops. We stayed in a one-bedroom suite and had a large living/dining room, good kitchen with a large refrigerator, a separate bedroom, and a lovely bathroom with a separate vanity. There were large TVs in both the living room and bedroom. The only drawback is a lack of parking. The hotel does provides valet parking for a price. When we drive we purchase space in a nearby garage but those garages don't have in-and-out privileges. That works well for us because we rarely need the car in DC. I have traveled a lot for both work and pleasure and have experienced all types of hotels. The best recommendation I can give a place is a repeat visit. We've stayed twice at the River Inn and plan to return for a week in 2020. It's that good

Huge beautiful room with a good location
The hotel had a huge room, with one large bed, a sofa and a kitchen. The staff was very nice and the location is in a quiet neighborhood, 20 minutes walk from the White House. Strongly recommend the hotel for a visit in Washington DC

The BEST getaway!!!
Me and a few of my best girlfriends decided we wanted to get away for the weekend & we made a last minute spontaneous decision to stay at The River Inn. It was our best decision yet! As soon as we arrived, a sweet girl at the front desk, Adrienne Lumain, checked us in and gave us all the details of our stay. The minute we walked into our room we knew it was going to be a wonderful weekend!! Everything was super clean and we were very happy with the overall customer service experience throughout our stay. Thanks again for an awesome long weekend with my girls!!! Will definitely recommend. :
